Return to Church Sunday: 10 am September 12 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 2803 1st Street, Wyandotte. Kindergarten to grade five students are invited to Sunday school. After worship, enjoy a catered lunch in the outdoor courtyard (weather permitting) thanks to Jay Ray’s catering and barbecue. There will be games and prizes for children. 11th Annual Golf for Life Outing: Register today for the 11th Annual Southern Downriver Right to Life Golf for Life Outing on Monday, September 13 at the beautiful Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club benefiting Right to Life in South County by Wayne. Scramble 18 holes with a shotgun from 11 a.m. Cost is $ 140 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch on the turn, three-course buffet dinner with hand-carved prime rib, beer, soft drinks and bottled water, hole-in-one contest for a new car, and prices. Sunday School: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Youth, 2803 1st Street, Wyandotte, hosts a Sunday School for Kindergarten to Grade 5 children every Sunday at 10 a.m. The youth group meets once a month for a community service project and a Bible lesson for grades 6 through 12. Toilet Co-op Pantry: Rockwood First Congregational Church, 22600 Mather Street Rockwood, houses the Toilet Co-op Pantry, which provides personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, lightly used clothing and some foodstuffs. All items are free. The pantry will open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the last Monday of each month. If this Monday is a public holiday, the pantry will be open the previous Monday. Downstream Women’s Social Group: Join women at Rockwood First Congregational Church, 22600 Mather Street, Thursdays approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a chat and friendship. Some crafts on rings or board games / playing cards. Some arrive late or leave early, some bring a lunch bag and eat together. No contributions; No religious affiliation required. Holy hours with display with rosary, Divine Mercy rosary and blessing: sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. before the 7 p.m. mass at Notre-Dame du Scapulaire at Notre-Dame du Mount Carmel, Tenth Street and Superior Blvd., Wyandotte. Everyone is invited, not just the Knights.

Pantry: Every Thursday, DownRiver Church hosts an emergency pantry for a one-day dietary supplement for individuals and families living in DownRiver communities. The pantry is open every Thursday between 10 a.m. and noon. Participants must bring their driver’s license or state-issued ID to participate. DownRiver Church Worship Service: Sundays at 10:30 am Strict social distancing guidelines are in place. A face mask covering the mouth and nose is required to enter the building. Our Lady of the Scapular Parish: Masses are Saturday at 5 p.m. (streamed live on Facebook and available on YouTube), Sunday at 9 a.m. (Polish / English) and 11 a.m. (English). Celebrate Recovery: Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step biblical balanced recovery program that helps people overcome wounds, blockages, and habits; it is a Christ-centered program that uses the teachings of Jesus to help individuals break with painful life issues and addictive behaviors in a safe, anonymous and confidential environment; the program is offered at 6 p.m. every Tuesday at Kirby Church, 2773 Will Carleton Road, Flat Rock; for more information call 734-789-1260.

Christian Business Men’s Connection: Luncheon that meets the third Monday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at Ramsey’s, Trenton, 2747 Jefferson just north of West Road. Community Dinner & Toiletries Co-op: Serving Those in Need at Rockwood First Congregational Church, 22600 Mather St, Rockwood. The free lunches will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. Each month, the free dinner is for anyone suffering from hunger or loneliness. The building is accessible to disabled people. The Toiletry Co-op is stocked with the 10 most requested toiletries and will be open during dinner hours.
