LITCHFIELD – Christian women in the Litchfield area will be hosting a Days of Golden Harvest Brunch at 9:30 am on September 10 at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Lyn Collver from Sioux Falls, South Dakota will talk about how interruptions and imperfections are part of a bigger plan. Tickets cost $ 5. Reservations must be made by noon on September 7th. WILLMAR – Willmar’s First Presbyterian Church celebrated its 150th anniversary in August 2020. There was a story about the history of the church in the August 8, 2020 edition of the West Central Tribune. Due to COVID-19, the celebration has been postponed until this year.

The church is planning a “Heart of Willmar 150 Celebration” from 10 am to 2 pm on September 11 to bring children and families downtown. The Jolly Pops will perform an outdoor concert of children’s songs as well as songs adults could relate to at 11 a.m. There will be a children’s art tent, balloon creations, a bouncy house, and children’s games in the parking lot and on the street. The William Crooks steam locomotive replica made by Bob Anderson and other church volunteers will be on display and children can ride the wooden ponies often featured in the Holidaze parade. Food vendors will be on site.

The City Auditorium has been reserved for the concert in case of bad weather.

SPICER – The fall festival will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 11, at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in rural Spicer. Cookie walk, creative house and garden, thrift store and more open at 9 a.m. Morning coffee at 8:30 a.m., lunch from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

MONTEVIDEO – The annual fall festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 19 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Montevideo. Grilled pork chop, green beans, baked potato, coleslaw and Special K bar. Online silent auction at

PADUA – St. Donatus Catholic Church in Brooten will be serving the annual Turkey and Ham Dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 19 at the Padua Pub Reception Hall in Padua. Roast turkey, ham, real mashed potatoes and sauce, vinaigrette, fresh corn, coleslaw, cranberries, rolls, homemade pie and desserts. Take out meals available.
