BJP holds prayers for Modi on her birthday
The BJP celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday by holding prayers on Friday.
The party leaders sang “Ameen” in a chorus in a special prayer asking for Allah’s blessings for a long life to Mr. Modi. Some Muslim women also attended the prayer meeting organized under the banner of the Bharatiya Morcha minority.
The rally asked for Allah’s blessing for better health of Mr. Modi and for the prosperity of the country under Mr. Modi.
Morcha Minority District President Kalliyath Sattar Haji, Vice Presidents Husain Varikottil, P. Siddique and K. Shamseer led the prayer. Among those who said “Ameen” with palms raised were BJP District President Ravi Thelath and Media Secretary Ravi Madathil.
Prayers were organized for Mr. Modi in some churches in the districts of Malappuram and Palakkad. Minority Morcha General Secretary Aji Thomas, Shaji George, Paulson Karulai and MT Sunny led the prayers held at St. Joseph Church, Nilambur.
BJP leaders made offerings at several temples in Malappuram and Palakkad for Mr. Modi. District President Mr. Thelath did so at Hanumankavu Temple in Alathiyur. Offerings were made at Thriprangode Maha Siva temple, Kadampuzha Bhagavathi temple, Thirumanthamkunnu Bhagavathi temple and Navamukunda temple in Tirunavaya.
BJP workers distributed food kits and clothing materials to street children in Changaramkulam. They celebrated the anniversary by cutting a cake.
BJP leaders lit 71 candles and prayed for Mr. Modi at St. Joseph’s Church in Karapadam, Mannarkkad.

Palakkad District President BJP E. Krishnadas, Palakkad Municipal President Priya Ajayan, BJP District General Secretaries P. Venugopal and KM Haridas were present.
